Internet Explorer 7 Options (Windows Vista)


Your Internet Explorer 7 browser has integrated options, for example, to allow you to personalize the home page, delete history, etc.
This document describes Internet Explorer 7’s various options.

Click on Start (the flag located to the lower right of the Windows taskbar), then on Internet.

Your Internet Explorer 7 browser appears.
Click on the Tools menu, then on Internet Options.

The "Internet Options" window appears.
The General tab allows you to:
- Configure the home page.
- Manage the navigation history.
- Change the search parameters.
- Personalize the presentation of the tabs and the browser’s appearance.



Click on the Security tab.
This tab allows you to display and change Internet Explorer 7’s browser security fields. 



Click on the Privacy tab.
This tab allows you to manage cookies and the display of pop-ups from the Web sites you visited. 



Click on the Content tab.
This tab provides access to:
- parental control.
- access control.
- the certificates.
- the automatic entry and feed configuration settings.



Click on the Connections tab.
This tab allows you to configure your Internet connections. 



Click on the Programs tab.
This tab allows you to:
- Define the default Web browser.
- Manage add-on modules.
- Choose the html file editor.
- Select Internet-related programs, such as an e-mail client.



Click on the Advanced tab.
This tab allows you to manage Internet Explorer’s advanced settings, such as the phishing filter status.
Click on OK to close the "Internet Properties" filter.



Internet Explorer’s options allow you to personalize the browser by changing selected settings.
